Our new BBQ

Nothing says that summer must be on its way more then our new BBQ! We have wanted a BBQ for such a long time. Now that we have a beautiful porch to put one on we finally just sucked it up and bought the cheapest one we could find. Sean is officially our family's BBQer and he has proved himself as a natural. Our first official BBQ meal which we commemorated with these pictures was lime chicken nachos. Mmmm. Delicious!

What happens when Sean takes study breaks

I know it is shocking, but yes, Sean does take study breaks. True, they are rare and only for about two minutes or just to eat or use the restroom but here is what happens during that time.

It was a quite night with Bella and I relaxing on the couch enjoying a nice evening together. I was indulging is some wonderful ice cream and reading my book when all of the sudden it happened. Bella was hit by the sticky tab assassin! To the sticky tab assassin's surprise (aka Sean), our poor puppy did not react as perhaps a cat might of, jumping around swatting and biting at the foreign objects stuck to her fur. Instead little Bella went and hid in her cage and would not come out until I took all the sticky tabs off.

Awww. Poor Bella. I think she is just as excited as me for Sean's finals to be over. Only 5 more days until I get my husband back for the summer!

Oh the Possibilities

We have recently had some very interesting choices placed before us. As many of you know Sean has done very well in law school. He has been at the library for many long nights and when he is not in the library he is hard at work in our study at home. All this work has resulted in him being ranked in the top 5% of his class after the first semester of law school. In the last few months he has started to think about the options that these grades could open up for him. One option that we have been considering is transferring schools. Having a big name school behind your degree can never hurt and Sean is excited at the opportunity to study in an atmosphere with great law scholars. He has applied to both Georgetown Law in Washington DC and to Chicago University. We weren't too sure about his chances of actually getting in but thought it may be worth giving it a shot. Well last week we heard back from Georgetown. This picture says it all...
That's right! He got in! We are still waiting to hear back from Chicago and it required a commitment that if he is accepted he will attend. Obviously we are going to wait to make our decision until we hear back from Chicago but this first acceptance sure opens up some possibilities for our future. Who knows, this time next year we could be in Chicago or Washington DC. How crazy is that?!
