Sleeping..

Why are sleeping baby pictures so cute?
After fighting sleep all morning and not being happy if I put him down anywhere, Parker finally fell asleep with his head in my lap, and then actually stayed asleep when I stood up. Yeah!

We're Moving to...

I officially quit my job 2 days ago, so we have decided that the timing is now right to announce our big news. Here is a clue...

We're all moving to London!

It's true! With the economy the way it is, we were very concerned about our future after Sean graduated. Sean was very proactive with his job applications and somehow got it in his mind to apply to some firms in London. Before we knew it, he was getting call backs from firms in London and San Francisco. He even flew out to the UK and had 5 interview. After being so uncertain about our future Sean was suddenly getting offers from 2 of the leading markets on opposite sides of the world. At times like this, we've learned to take it to the Lord. After praying and going to the temple we both received the same answer; it may not be the choice that makes the most sense but London is calling!

We are very excited at the opportunities that await us there. Sean will be working for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, which is a "magic circle" firm. It is one of the most prestigious international business firms.  He'll be doing finance deals for international corporations and banks like Goldman Sachs, Samsonite, and Aston Martin.  He is super excited.

As for me and Parker and Bella, we are excited to hang out more with our Janes side of the family that I found when Sean and I were in London in 2009. We are also excited to travel and explore Europe. My one request has been that I will not shower, cook or go to the bathroom in a closet! (remember our flat last time - that gives me nightmares) We have already been checking out flats and I think we'll be able to find a place were we can all be comfortable and feel like home.

The master plan, for now, is that when Sean graduates, we will move in with his parents again for a few months while Sean studies and takes the New York Bar. We'll do some good traveling this summer and visit friends and family before we move across the pond. The big move will probably take place in October and then Sean starts work in November.

So there is our Big News for you! Stay posted for our adventures in London Part II :)

Winter Weather

Today we are experiencing a bit of winter weather here in California. I had to take Bella out for a walk and therefor Parker needed to be dressed appropriately.

Bustin' out so he can enjoy some more swing time.

Or should I say sleep time :)

Parker and Bella

Today I sat down to eat lunch and sat Parker on the couch beside me when Bella decided she wanted to join us. With the whole couch available for her to herself comfortable she decided that the best seat in the house was Parker's lap. Parker didn't mind at all and just kept looking at her very curiously. Once Bella was comfortable she decided to thank Parker for the use of his lap by licking the little section of his leg sticking out.

This event inspired this post. I'm so glad that Bella is good with Parker and has accepted him as part of the family. I hope she'll feel the same way when he learns to pull her hair...
Bella's a good babysitter. She doesn't take her eye off Parker.
Except to pose for the camera. :)
Bella trying to sooth a distort Parker while sharing her bad with him.
Snuggling with mom in the morning.
More of my little snugglers :)

Parker's First Owie

Since Saturday night, Parker has found himself in a screaming and crying mood. I don't know if he's sick or hurting or what is going on. So bad that he is actually forming little tears which is a new thing for him. It breaks my heart because I wish there was something I could do for him to make him feel better. Well, today, to make the screaming worse, apparently one of his fingernails attacked him. Not just once but twice! Awww. My poor little boy has his first battle scars of many to come I'm sure.

Favorite Dad Moments

This has been my favorite dad moment so far...
Sean: Ahhh! He just bit me!
Me: He has no teeth!
Wait for it... Parker's little nail had rubbed Sean's arm and Sean thought he had bit him! I could not stop laughing.

Other fun dad moments:
Sean trying to put Parker to sleep and instead falling asleep himself while Parker is wide awake but enjoying snuggle time with Dad.

Reading the Economist with Dad while mom gets some much needed shut eye.

Can you feel the wind??

Late night study adventures.
